Australia

John Ling (ADB 1973–1995)

The Australian chapter held another successful reunion and annual meeting on 12–15 October 2008, this time at Warburton, a beautiful rural setting in the Dandenong Mountain ranges, some 70 kilometers east of Melbourne. The venue was the Yarra Valley Grange Country Retreat on the upper reaches of the Yarra River, a pristine, swift moving river with prolific avian life that provided a nonstop symphony of bird calls through the day. The 39 participants came from several Australian states, New Zealand, and Manila.

Canada: Toronto

Rodney Tucay & Nida Rodrigo (ADB 1976)

The snow and winter chill on 29 December 2007 did not stop former colleagues and families from renewing friendship over a sumptuous Chinese buffet lunch replete with festivity, exchanges, and laughter, which continued a full 3 hours.

Philippines: Dancing the night away

It was barely three hours more to the much-awaited get-together celebration and yet the executive dining room (EDR), where the big night’s party, cum “reunion” of the Bank’s retirees would take place, was already teeming with participants. Early comers Ophie Sta. Ana, Rosie Luistro, Liza Vitangcol, Babygirl Cruz, and Annie Romero decided to take their lunch there to avoid the hassle of traffic late in the afternoon.
