AFE-ADB's 26th Annual General Meeting and Related Functions

Chapter Coordinators’ Meeting

The meeting, chaired by the Executive Secretary, is for chapter coordinators; other AFE members may also attend if interested. All members proposing to attend should so indicate in the acceptance form.

26th Annual General Meeting

The AFE–ADB Annual General Meeting is the forum where important reports on the Association’s activities and committees are presented to members, and where members can raise or discuss matters of general interest. The AFE–ADB President will chair the meeting.

Cocktail Reception
2 May 2012, 6:00 PM–9:00 PM
The reception is being organized on a cost-sharing basis. If you intend to participate, please advise us as soon as possible. Members who intend to participate in the reception will be advised of the exact cost per person as soon as we receive the information from the providers in Manila. If you intend to attend the cocktails, please send your payment by 18 March 2012 by check payable to AFE–ADB Cocktails. If that is not possible, payment can be made at the entrance to the venue. Because AFE–ADB must agree to pay for the number of participants we specify, members who advise us that they intend to participate will have to pay their share of the cost unless they specifically indicate to me before 15 April 2012 that they no longer plan to attend. Cancellation of a member’s  registration for the 45th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of ADB (the ADB Annual Meeting) will not serve as cancellation of attendance at the AFE–ADB cocktail reception, because AFE–ADB is not involved in ADB Annual Meeting registration matters, which are handled by the Office of The Secretary (OSEC).

If you intend to participate in any of the above functions, please inform the AFE-ADB executive secretary by downloading the acceptance form and returning it after providing required information, preferably by e-mail (afe-adbannualmeeting@adb.org) or by fax (+63 2 636 2444), to reach AFE–ADB on or before 24 February 2012.
Members who are attending the AFE–ADB Annual General Meeting will be able to attend the opening session of the ADB Annual Meeting and the social functions that are held during the ADB Annual Meeting, to which all participants are invited.

As in previous years, members have to register for the ADB Annual Meeting via Internet. Details of this will be communicated to members who have indicated their intention to participate. When your participation is approved, OSEC will send you a formal invitation letter by email. The invitation letter will include an ID number, a password, and the website for the online registration. You will need all this information to register online. If you are using another person’s e-mail address for this purpose, please request that person to handle any information sent by ADB in strict confidence. All participants are required to register in advance and must submit a scanned color photograph (4cm x 4cm) on a white background in .jpg format.

If you are invited by ADB’s Treasury Department as a Banker Guest or by OSEC as a Special Guest, please also let me know by e-mail or fax if you intend to participate in the AFE–ADB Annual General Meeting and related functions. This will enable us to send you details of the AFE–ADB functions and include you in the list of former employees attending the ADB Annual Meeting.
