This was a record for AFE, with about 360 members and accompanying persons attending. The cocktail party was a major success, good food, good drinks, good company, and highlighted by our Japan Chapter's presentation of a Sake Barrel Opening Ceremony--a traditional ceremony performed to celebrate happy occasions. The barrel was broken open by Former ADB and AFE President Fujioka, Former ADB President Kuroda, Mrs. Tadao Chino, Mrs. Mitsuo Sato, AFE Chair Bong-Suh Lee and President Hans-Juergen Springer.
